Week 185: EGG

It's time for a new cue word!  Are you thinking spring yet?  Winter is reaching that point when we start wishing for weather that's a little more enjoyable.  To try to encourage an early hatching of spring, we're focusing on a word that just seems to go along with the season.

STAMPlorations is returning as our wonderful sponsor and is offering this week's winner their choice of either a $10 gift certificate to the online store OR 2 ARTplorations stencilsRemember, the weeks STAMPlorations sponsors us here at CASology, our readers receive 10% off using code CASOLOGY in the online store!  Don't forget to take advantage of this savings!

There's excitement brewing this month with two new stamp releases coming up the next two Wednesdays on the STAMPlorations blog!  There will be a mini blog hop to celebrate beginning tomorrow morning (Wednesday, February 17), so be sure and stop by and leave a comment for your chance to win this set...

Let's take a look at what the design team and this week's guest designer created for inspiration!

Guest Designer:  Gerrina
design defined:
A limited color palette & one repeated shape create a CAS design.

Ardyth
design defined:
Choose elements with a similar feel for unity in your CAS design.

design defined:
Use digital and clear stamps together to create a one-layer CAS card.

Hannelie
Happy Easter card
design defined:
A folded element creates dimension and can be flattened to fit in an envelope.

Hazel
design defined:
The 'rule of threes' can work well on a CAS card.

Jacquie
design defined:
Repeating an image and keeping the design to one-third of the card are CAS design elements.

Joyce
design defined:
A classic CAS layout puts the focal point in the horizontal center of the card and above the vertical center.  Add some interest with a border at the bottom.

Judy
design defined:
Paper-piecing large die cut images lets the image take center stage.

Kymona
design defined:
A watercolor panel on top of a solid card base creates a CAS card!

design defined:
Use a visual triangle to guide the eye over your design.

Sherrie
design defined:
Keep image and sentiment together in one area to preserve "white" space.

Tracey
design defined:
Leaving lots of white space around busy focal images keeps your design CAS.

Go have fun creating your CAS design and don't forget to link up here on the challenge blog by Monday at NOON (CST)!
