Week #27: BLUE

Last week we were thinking about winter and perhaps it brings to mind this week's cue word for some of you...

Whether it's the color itself that comes to mind or something related to the color, we can't wait to see what this word triggers in your creative minds!

You'll be anything but BLUE when you see who this week's sponsor is!  This week's winner will receive a $15 gift certificate to the store!

Avery Elle offers fun and fresh clear photopolymer stamps, premium heavy card stock and coordinating grosgrain ribbon.  Our entire collection of image stamp sets has matching free .svg and .pdf cut files. Yes, we did say free!  If you have an electronic cutting machine, you have the ability to cut shapes for our stamp sets for no added cost.  How great is that?  All of our products are proudly made in the USA.  For our complete line of high quality products, ideas and inspiration go to www.averyelle.com.

Now let's take a look at what the design team and this week's guest designer, May, have created for inspiration!

Guest Designer:  May
design defined:
Repeating a single image multiple times can create movement on a CAS design.

Jen
design defined:
Add some colour to a sentiment to tie it in with the image.

design defined:
Varying shades of the same color add interest and depth to a one-layer card.

Maureen
design defined:
Don't be scared to use bold patterns on your CAS cards.
Pairing patterns with a white card base helps to keep the design simple.

design defined:
Using a single colour with white helps to make this a clean and simple card.

design defined:
Using a monochromatic background adds interest without overpowering the design.

design defined:
Use a simple border die or punch repeatedly to create a clean and simple design.

design defined:
The eye will automatically be drawn to the element that has dimension.

A fussy process can still result in a CAS card!

Now go have fun and don't forget to link up your own BLUE creation by Sunday at 4 p.m. (CST)!
