Week 226: CANDLE

Tuesday, November 29, 2016

It's time for a new cue word and one that should light your fire for CAS design!

As always, remember the following CAS guidelines when creating your design:

  1. One main image
  2. Lots of open space, uncluttered
  3. Limited layers & embellishments
  4. Quick & easy to recreate (Note: It may take a while to create a design you like, but once you have that design, making more should be a piece of cake!)

Kitty Bee Designs is returning as our wonderful sponsor and the design team is featuring some of their adorable images!  This week's winner will receive 1 (non-colored) digital stamp from the online store.

Let's take a look at what the design team and this week's guest designer created for inspiration!

Plenty of white space keeps your card clean and simple.

Confining a burst of color to one-third of the card keeps it CAS.

Framing a smaller image using a die that also embosses adds interest without overpowering it.

Week 225: Weekly Winners!

It's time to announce our Weekly Winner and Honorable Mentions!

Sherrie had the honor of selecting the Winner for Week #225 and here is her selection:

I love Jessica's SOFT alpaca and her clever use of Q-tips to create the texture. Her sweet alpaca takes center stage on her green card base with lots of "white" space to keep her card CAS.
Congratulations, Jessica!
